Yesterday I went into my very chilly sewing room and sorted through fabrics. I was supposed to be cutting a jelly roll for a friend, but instead I got caught up looking at all the gorgeous spring-like fabrics I have in my stash.
I pulled out a collection of fat quarters I bought at Attic Windows quilt shop in Grand Rapids, MI a few years ago – Vintage Violets by Debbie Beaves for RJR Fabrics. At the time, I couldn’t resist them. They were purple and green, two of my favorite colors, and they had violets on them, one of my favorite flowers. But they’ve just sat on my shelf waiting to be used and I’ve never found a project for them.
Since I’d been thinking of adding to my Etsy shop, I decided to put them in a pretty basket and put them up for sale. There is a dark green, a pale violet, a collection of violets and a collection of Valentine-like “thinking of you” greetings. You can see more pictures on the Etsy listing.
I hope someone, somewhere will love them and put them to use. Maybe you?
