Happy New Year!

I have spent almost all of New Years Eve working on class notes for a quilting class I hope to teach at the Box Factory for the Arts. It will be a beginner class and we’ll make this table runner out of both pieced and appliquéd blocks. Once I have dates and time scheduled for the class I will announce it here.

It takes a lot longer than I thought to write step-by-step instructions for beginners! I keep stumbling over things that “everybody” already knows, and have to keep reminding myself how nervous I was in my first quilting class!

Do you have memories of your first quilting class? Share them in the comments! I’d love to know what worries and fears new quilters have about their first class.
